The new 50-bed Maximum Security Facility at the Rio Grande State Center Campus in Harlingen will add 50 beds and provide inpatient mental health care in a maximum-security setting. The facility includes private patient rooms, shared and specialized support areas, administrative offices, diagnostic and treatment spaces, food services, laundry, supply services, and various other programs. The maximum-security unit will be equipped with state-of-the-art therapeutic environments designed to promote patient recovery.
