This facility provides educational and administrative space for the training of medical students and other health professionals. The design features flexible classrooms with modern technology to strengthen and expand the university's distance learning and professional continuing education programs. The space is devoted to classrooms, collaborative learning environments, an auditorium, clinical skills center, preclinical MD labs, a digital gross anatomy teaching facility, and administrative offices.
The HVAC trade contractor mistakenly installed the initial portion of large ductwork without bracing required per the SMACNA standard. Our in-house quality control team discovered the mistake and worked with the trade contractor to identify which ductwork required the bracing, so all future ductwork deliveries would arrive with the correct bracing already attached to the ductwork. Our early quality control review saved time and money by avoiding re-work later in the project.
