The Hilltop Housing Complex, located on one of the highest hills in San Marcos, features two seven-story student housing structures that collectively house 1,006 new beds. The 241,000 SF complex provides living spaces for Texas State University students. A 2,000 SF central courtyard connects the two towers, offering outdoor relaxation and study spaces. Our scope of work included site improvements to the 2.8-acre property, landscaping, and utility tie-ins as part of a previous infrastructure improvement project.
The project site was in a highly populated campus area, adjacent to an active dormitory and surrounded by occupied residence halls. To minimize noise disturbance, we implemented quiet times and carefully coordinated heavy machinery work during early morning hours. We prioritized student well-being by providing ear protection to nearby residents and avoiding peak traffic during student activity times.
