The multi-phased renovation of St. David’s Medical Center featured a comprehensive overhaul of the third floor’s labor and delivery department. Our scope of work included a new waiting room, office suite, and expanded labor and delivery area. We also completed cosmetic upgrades to nurseries, delivery rooms, postpartum units, and staff sleep rooms. Further enhancements involved minor renovations, replacing plumbing fixtures, mechanical and electrical devices, ceiling tiles and grid, and casework.
To renovate the active hospital, we executed a meticulously planned, phased takeover, establishing secure zones with strict access controls and mandatory screening for all personnel. We maintained constant, proactive coordination with hospital staff, implementing rigorous noise mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to patient care. We utilized mobile safety perimeters and enforced stringent infection control protocols to eliminate patient risk. Throughout the project, we remained committed to patient well-being.
