Project Overview
The new Hammes Partners, McAllen Ambulatory Surgical Center and Medical Office Building, also known as the Jackson Medical Plaza, serves as an additional location for Texas Digestive Spaces and The Advanced Weight Loss Center. The two-level, 43,000 SF medical plaza houses physician office space and spaces for gastrointestinal surgery. It also includes five procedure rooms and one operating room.
Unique Challenge
Throughout the project, our team encountered several procurement challenges with the generator, switchgear, and utility provider’s transformer. To address these issues, we employed a strategic approach, which included resequencing the schedule, implementing temporary air solutions, utilizing alternate equipment, custom fabricating electrical gear, and expedited shipping. These measures proved essential in overcoming the procurement obstacles and ensuring the project’s successful completion.
