C.C. Creations triples its production capacity with the state-of-the-art 210,000 SF Legacy Campus, for which Vaughn served as construction manager-at-risk. The increased space and advanced equipment at the new campus allows for the Texas-based screen printing and embroidery company to produce 50,000 t-shirts daily and 15 million shirts annually. The facility offers a climate-controlled, high-tech work environment for employees, while also featuring advanced equipment to meet production demands.
The initial design included two eight-inch floor drains to carry a large volume of water discharged from the four-screen cleaning unit, which also carried ink residue that needed filtering before connecting to the city sewer system. The initial design was insufficient to manage the water flow and filter the ink. We identified this issue before pouring the concrete slab for that section and were able to revise the design to incorporate two trench drains spanning the entire room.
