Houston Methodist West Hospital Cuts Ribbon at Medical Office Building 3

Houston Methodist West Hospital recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of its new Medical Office Building (MOB) 3 and Garage B, for which Vaughn served as construction manager-at-risk. The six-story, 160,000 SF medical office building will house various departments including orthopedics and sports medicine, physical therapy, primary care, and neuroscience services. A sports field with a basketball net, partial football field, and a field goal for physical therapy is next to the building.

“This ribbon-cutting ceremony is not just about expanding our physical infrastructure, it is about setting the highest standards of patient care, and this new medical office building is a testament to that commitment,” said Kyle Stanzel, Houston Methodist West Hospital Chief Operations Officer. “We are committed to providing our employees and physicians access to the best facilities to continue their crucial work.”

The medical office building is part of a $65 million expansion project, including parking for 900 vehicles, nature spaces with walking trails, and an access road linking I-10 to Park Row. These additions aim to provide convenience and a welcoming environment for patients and their families.

“The MOB 3 project allows community members the opportunity to be treated, rehabilitated, and receive elite medical and orthopedic services within minutes from home,” said a Vaughn project manager.  “This project is an opportunity to help heal the sick, and we are proud to have worked with Houston Methodist on this exciting new facility in Katy.”
