UTHealth Houston recently celebrated the topping out milestone for the Public Health Education and Research Building (PHERB), for which Vaughn serves as construction manager-at-risk. The 350,000 SF building will house the state's most prestigious school of public health and the fourth largest in the country.
Over 450 attendees, including representatives from Vaughn, trade contractors, the design team, and UTHealth, gathered on the building's 10th floor to mark the occasion. A delicious barbecue lunch was provided to celebrate the team's hard work.
A Vaughn senior project manager shared his enthusiasm for the project's progress, stating, "It is exciting to witness the campus taking shape. We are honored to build a hub for the University of Texas System's health promotion and disease prevention program for the state of Texas."
The facility is located in the Texas Medical Center’s Helix Park and is slated to reach substantial completion in 2026.
