The University of North Texas recently celebrated the topping out milestone for the new STEM building, for which Vaughn serves as construction manager-at-risk. The 118,000 SF, state-of-the-art complex will include 18-20 classrooms, biology and chemistry teaching labs, research labs, and a large event venue. It will also include multiple study and work areas, faculty and staff offices, a student STEM center, and a Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP) space for pre-med students.
“The topping out celebration was a great opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication of our project team,” said a Vaughn project manager. “Over 175 attendees from Vaughn, UNT, and the design team enjoyed a barbeque lunch to show appreciation to all team members involved. We look forward to sharing more as the project progresses.”
The STEM building is slated to reach substantial completion in October 2025.
