Alamo Colleges Northwest Vista College campus recently broke ground on the 60,000 SF Cypress Campus Center, for which Vaughn serves as construction manager-at-risk. The building is undergoing significant renovations and an expansion to enhance student support services, including a tutoring center and collaborative spaces for student organizations.
Dr. Amy Bosley, president of the Northwest Vista College, gave an overview of the existing building usage and highlighted some changes expected from the renovation, including a new dining area and a new Lago Vista room for increased event space.
Alamo College District Chancellor Dr. Mike Flores spoke about the building serving as a centralized location where students can receive academic support. “The Cypress Center will allow students to come together and engage with peers, faculty, and staff, and for community members to come together as well,” he said. This is a momentous occasion for NVC.”
The project’s last phase is slated to reach substantial completion in Spring 2026.
