Vaughn Selected as Construction Manager-at-Risk for New Laboratory Facility
Vaughn Construction was recently awarded the Instructional Laboratory and Innovative Learning Building (ILSQ) project for Texas A&M University. The new 120,000 SF facility, located on the College Station campus, has a total project budget of $100 million and seeks to provide much-needed instructional laboratory capacity for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and interdisciplinary learning for undergraduate students. The facility will add 28 chemistry labs, eight interdisciplinary art studios, an interdisciplinary maker space, and student study spaces. Construction is scheduled to start in September 2020 with substantial completion in September 2022 for student occupancy in the following spring semester.
